How to integrate scanning software to exocad
Start the scan directly from dental DB

All our scanning software can be perfectly integrated with any version of Exocad.
For the most recent versions we can carry out these simple steps:
Click with the right mouse button on the scanning software icon that we want to integrate on exocad and than choose Properties. In the Properties window we must copy the destination path: select it, click with the right mouse button, and choose Copy; or use the key combination CTRL+C.
Once the path has been copied, we go to the c:/programdata/OT folder (if we don't find it we can write the path directly in the path bar). There we find a file named "scanner", usually with an icon of two gears in a square.
Drag/move this file to the desktop and then click the right mouse button on that file and choose "edit". At this point, we need to replace the path found in that file with the one previously copied.
Once the correct path has been entered, click on "file" at the top left corner and then "save" in order to save the changes made to the file.
Drag/move the file again from the desktop to its original folder (overwriting the file). If all the operations have been correctly completed, it will now be possible to start the scanning software directly from the specific icon in the Dental DB.
